In June 2019, the House of Commons Standing Committee released an extensive report on the health and well-being of LGBTQ2 people in Canada. This report involved interviewing 33 witnesses, including community frontline service providers and researchers, working with LGBTQ2 communities across Canada.
The report validates previous statements on the mental and physical health of LGBTQ2 people, from the perspective of these workers and researchers working directly with the community.
The report also outlines information about minority stressors, and other social reasons behind the greater likelihood of negative mental and physical health experiences for LGBTQ2 people described on this website.
